Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) is the term used to describe how notes and ideas are collected and organized for useful applications.
Building a Second Brain describes a CODE Method for PKM which means Capturing, Organizing, Distilling, and Expressing (or sharing) your notes. The author mentions that one should not be a "taker" of notes as much as they are a "giver" of notes.
